KS2 - Interactive robotics

DF0042

This course is a comprehensive introduction to robotics, covering the fundamentals of robot design, control, and programming. Students will learn about the different types of robots and their applications, as well as the underlying principles of robot mechanics, electronics, and software.

The course will begin with an overview of the field of robotics, including its history, current trends, and future directions. Students will then learn about the different components of a robot, such as sensors, actuators, and controllers. They will also learn about the different types of robot motion and how to control it.

Next, the course will focus on the programming of robots. Students will learn how to use a variety of programming languages to create robot behaviors. They will also learn about the different challenges involved in robot programming, such as real-time computing and sensor fusion.

In the second half of the course, students will apply their knowledge to build and program their own robots. They will start by building a simple line-following robot. They will then move on to building more complex robots, such as a gripper robot.

By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of robotics and be able to design, build, and program their own robots.
